Rita Case, president, CEO and owner of Rick Case Automotive Group, has been honored as the 2026 Barbara Cox Woman of the Year. Case is recognized for her leadership in the automotive industry, community impact and notable philanthropic efforts. The Barbara Cox Woman of the Year Award includes a $10,000 donation to a charity of the winner’s choice and a $10,000 Barbara Cox Memorial Scholarship for a Northwood University student.

Rick Case Automotive Group Joins Over 3,000 Participants in Broward Heart Walk to raise funds for American Heart Association

DAVIE, FLA. - A walk for a cause brought out thousands of people to Davie this weekend.
 
The American Heart Association’s Broward Heart Walk kicked off at Nova Southeastern University, Sunday morning. More than 3,000 people participated. From those who have survived heart conditions to supporters, everyone walked with a message that’s near and dear to their hearts.

Many local organizations participated after raising money for the American Heart Association — including Rick Case Automotive Group and City Furniture.

Rita Case, CEO of Rick Case Automotive, surprised a South Florida woman with an SUV after she was carjacked in Miami Beach. A man threatened Glenda Defas with a hammer before carjacking her car. Her brother, who is disabled and deaf, was a passenger. The assailant later totaled the car following a police chase – a car Glenda had just paid off after seven years.
