Rita and Rick Case are widely recognized as successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists. In 1962, Rick Case established his first automobile dealership in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. When the couple relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1985, they opened the first Hyundai and Acura dealerships in the United States-both of which became the top-selling dealerships in America. Between 2002 and December 2015, they expanded their presence by adding eight more dealerships throughout Broward County.

In 2025, Rita Case and Habitat for Humanity of Broward completed their most ambitious project to date. The Rick Case Habitat Community features 76 beautiful single-family homes and two parks across nine acres in Pompano Beach.
